A defunding fight is on the horizon in PA.”

I must confess – I’m stealing that headline above from Planned Parenthood. They used that headline last week pleading for support for their abortion business as they recognize the defunding threat that exists in Pennsylvania.

This is evidence that we are getting closer to defunding Planned Parenthood! 

Just this morning RJ Harris on WHP 580 radio morning show here in Harrisburg brought up what every news station should be covering today – how a Planned Parenthood official from central PA wants to sell baby parts for profit and views laws against doing so as ridiculous.

Just like our state budget is overdue, it’s far overdue for Pennsylvania to stop paying Planned Parenthood with our taxdollars. As the debate over the state budget continues, make sure you’ve told your elected officials to stop paying the largest abortion business in the Commonwealth.

The World Meeting of Families –Philadelphia 2015 today announced that The Philly POPS Festival Brass will perform “Fanfare for the Common Man,” as Pope Francis arrives on stage at Independence Hall for his highly anticipated address on immigration and religious liberty on Saturday, September 26.  The classic “Fanfare for the Common Man” was written in 1942 for the Cincinnati Symphony by legendary American composer Aaron Copland, whose parents were Jewish immigrants from Lithuania.

In addition to The Philly POPS Festival Brass, the World Meeting of Families also announced the eight performance groups who will be part of pre-programming at Independence Hall in advance of Pope Francis’ remarks to an expected crowd of 30,000.  Pre-programming will begin at 12:30 p.m. EST and reflect the immigrant heritage and cultural diversity of the City of Philadelphia.

Another new Planned Parenthood video has emerged, shedding more light on the lucrative business relationships behind the abortion industry.

In the latest undercover video is Dr. Katherine Sheehan, who was medical director of Planned Parenthood Pacific Southwest, as well as officials from two of Planned Parenthood’s largest partners in the fetal tissue trade.

Dr. Sheehan confirms on camera that Planned Parenthood clinics receive a portion of the profits, despite consistent denials from Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood. Evidence is revealed that shows Planned Parenthood is being paid far more for dead baby parts than they have represented.

Yesterday a Media Research Center analysis showed that the three broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) did not report on the Planned Parenthood for one single second during the month of August. In fact, ABC hasn’t mentioned the story since July 16.

This is completely unacceptable. As long as the media continue to ignore this story, we’ll need to fill the void and continue to share these videos. We need to continue exposing Planned Parenthood so that as soon as Congress reconvenes, they will be forced to explain why our tax dollars are being used to fund an organization like this.

As Catholic school students across the Commonwealth begin the new school year, instructors are feeling the pinch of the unresolved state budget debate. Nonpublic schools do not receive basic education tax dollars, but their students do benefit from line items that pay for textbooks, materials, equipment, and services that support their secular education through the Intermediate Units. The proposal this year finally achieves equity between public and nonpublic students – the line items increase at the same rate. The Pennsylvania General Assembly is considering measures that would release the funds for some critical programs like these.
 
Urge your state legislators today to vote yes on the legislative proposals that release the funding for the textbooks, materials, equipment and key services that benefit all Pennsylvania students.

Recent articles indicate that Governor Wolf and the Republican Majority are
getting closer to a budget deal.

If that deal includes money for Planned Parenthood, it will become virtually
impossible to defund that abortion company for the foreseeable
future. Pulling the Planned Parenthood money now would reduce PP’s annual
income by $30 million plus. That’s how much you and I and other Pennsylvanians are contributing to the killing of innocent babies – against our will!

It is essential that the GOP Leadership hears from the grassroots – that ANY
budget deal must  DEFUND PLANNED PARENTHOOD.

Legislators react to numbers of emails. So, put “Defund Planned Parenthood
or No Budget Deal” in your subject line.  It is important that as many as possible both send email AND call. Tell them “defund Planned Parenthood”.
