Please join us on Sunday, September 27, to view the Papal Mass in Monsignor Woods Hall.  We will be live-broadcasting the Papal Mass on the large screen in the Hall.  All are welcome to join fellow parishioners as we view the broadcast of the Holy Father as he celebrates Mass in Philadelphia.    The doors will open at 3:30.  The Mass begins at 4:00.

Please note that viewing the Papal Mass at 4:00 DOES NOT fulfill your Sunday obligation to attend Mass.  St. Frances Cabrini Church will celebrate all our regular weekend Masses at 5:30 PM on Saturday, and 7:00, 9:00 and 11:00 AM on Sunday.

The Senate is expected to vote as soon as this coming Tuesday on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 36). This bill was passed by the House of Representatives on May 13. Urge your Senators to support this bill.

There is substantial medical evidence that an unborn child is capable of experiencing pain at least by 20 weeks after fertilization. As proposed, the bill asserts a compelling governmental interest in protecting unborn children at least by this stage. With limited exceptions, the bill makes it unlawful to perform or attempt to perform an abortion if the probable post-fertilization age of the unborn child is 20 weeks or greater.

The latest video exposing Planned Parenthood’s barbaric practices has just been released. You can watch it here. In it, Planned Parenthood openly admitted, “Everything we provide is fresh,” and some clinics “generate a fair amount of income doing this” when describing the harvesting and selling of baby parts.

There are a total of ten videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress. Each one clearly exposes the hellish and satanic evil Planned Parenthood is engaged in.

Unbelievably, some members of Congress are willing to continue giving Planned Parenthood one-half billion dollars in taxpayer money this year. In the face of this unspeakable evil, Republican leaders, including House Speaker John Boehner, remain unwilling to fight.

Fortunately, there are a growing number of Godly representatives willing and preparing to battle to defund Planned Parenthood no matter what it takes. There is a lot of pressure coming from the “establishment” crowd in Washington to silence these heroes for life, but they are standing firm.

These men and women are willing to fight to the end because they know babies are God’s creation and not simply “commodities” to be dismembered, traded and sold. These members need to know we support them!

TAKE ACTION

There is one, and only one, solution for defunding Planned Parenthood.

Congress must completely defund Planned Parenthood in “must pass” legislation. This comes in the form of an upcoming continuing resolution of the federal budget with a September 30deadline. In a nutshell, this legislation will force every single elected official to show where they stand on Planned Parenthood.

Please contact your representative today and urge him to support the defunding of Planned Parenthood in a continuing resolution. Tell him that given the barbarity of the undercover videos, the time to fight is now in spite of the unwillingness of Speaker John Boehner.

We’ve prepared a letter for you to send (or you can edit it), letting your representative know he can count on your support in the fight to save babies from the brutal mutilation mills of Planned Parenthood.

I must confess – I’m stealing that headline above from Planned Parenthood. They used that headline last week pleading for support for their abortion business as they recognize the defunding threat that exists in Pennsylvania.

This is evidence that we are getting closer to defunding Planned Parenthood! 

Just this morning RJ Harris on WHP 580 radio morning show here in Harrisburg brought up what every news station should be covering today – how a Planned Parenthood official from central PA wants to sell baby parts for profit and views laws against doing so as ridiculous.

Just like our state budget is overdue, it’s far overdue for Pennsylvania to stop paying Planned Parenthood with our taxdollars. As the debate over the state budget continues, make sure you’ve told your elected officials to stop paying the largest abortion business in the Commonwealth.

The World Meeting of Families –Philadelphia 2015 today announced that The Philly POPS Festival Brass will perform “Fanfare for the Common Man,” as Pope Francis arrives on stage at Independence Hall for his highly anticipated address on immigration and religious liberty on Saturday, September 26.  The classic “Fanfare for the Common Man” was written in 1942 for the Cincinnati Symphony by legendary American composer Aaron Copland, whose parents were Jewish immigrants from Lithuania.

In addition to The Philly POPS Festival Brass, the World Meeting of Families also announced the eight performance groups who will be part of pre-programming at Independence Hall in advance of Pope Francis’ remarks to an expected crowd of 30,000.  Pre-programming will begin at 12:30 p.m. EST and reflect the immigrant heritage and cultural diversity of the City of Philadelphia.
