The Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament invite you to participate in a week-long virtual event highlighting social justice concerns and promoting the legacy of Saint Katharine Drexel.

Beginning Sunday, April 25, each day will present an opportunity to reflect on her tireless work and dedication to service of marginalized populations through her personal commitment and the religious order she founded.

Annual Mass for Persons with Disabilities

Sunday, April 25, 2021
3:00 p.m. Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul
18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway
Philadelphia, PA 19103

Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will serve as the Principal Celebrant and Homilist. The Saint Christopher Parish Schola will provide the liturgical music. All are welcome to attend this Mass honoring the gifts of persons with disabilities, the deaf community, as well as their family members, friends, and caregivers.

All who wish to attend in person are asked to please RSVP online at www.opdarchphilly.org along with the number of attendees and noting any accommodations needed. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be in place for those physically present.

The Mass will be livestreamed on the Archdiocesan website https://vimeo.com/event/17522 and Archbishop Pérez’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/ArchbishopPerez/ for those are not able to attend.

All attendees are asked to please arrive by 2:45 p.m. Accessible parking is available on the premises.

Next Steps?

Congress is now on break for two weeks. During this time, which includes Holy Week, we hope all Catholics will pray intensely for the triumph of truth and the defeat of this legislation. When Congress reconvenes on April 12 we urge everyone to engage by calling their senators or sending an email to oppose the Equality Act.
