DEATH NOTICE
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Katz, former principal of St. Frances Cabrini Parish School.
Mary was the principal of St. Frances Cabrini Parish School from 2006-2010. Prior to becoming principal at St. Frances Cabrini, Mary was an Archdiocesan teacher for 40 years at schools which included Immaculate Conception in Levittown, Ascension of our Lord in Philadelphia, and St. Catherine of Siena in Horsham.
Mary was very instrumental in the formation of Holy Family Regional Catholic School, first as a member of the Steering Committee, and then working closely with John Mundy, the current principal, to organize curriculum and programs for the Regional School.
Mary and her husband, Jacob, were faithful members of St. Michael the Archangel Parish for many years. Mrs. Katz’s funeral Mass will be at St. Michael the Archangel Church on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM. There will be a viewing in the church at 8:45 AM.
Please keep the Katz family in your prayers.
VOLUNTEER CLEANERS BRIGHTEN THE CHURCH!
We had a wonderful showing of volunteers of all ages on Saturday, December 1st, to clean the church. Volunteers left no area untouched as they wiped down the pews and kneelers, cleaned windows and window ledges, cleaned the sanctuary area, trimmed plants, wiped down the stations of the cross, cleaned the confessionals, and generally spruced up any area that needed attention. The church sparkled this weekend as a result of their efforts. We are very grateful for all those who came to assist in beautifying our worship space.
