Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communions assist with the distribution of Communion at Mass and may also bring Holy Communion to the homebound sick or elderly parishioners. This liturgical ministry seeks to involve members, who are actively living their faith, have a deep personal love for the Blessed Sacrament and a desire to minister to the sick. Parishioners are invited to this ministry by the Pastor. After attendance at an Archdiocesan workshop, as well as a Parish workshop, the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are commissioned for service at a weekend liturgy and subsequently scheduled to assist at our weekend and Holy Day Masses. Generally, the term of service is three years, with the possibility of a renewal of service in increments of three years. Extraordinary Ministers are incorporated in the Lay Ministry Schedule according to preferences provided.
