Furniture Donations Needed for Legacy of Life

Legacy of Life Warminister are working to launch STAR Warminster, a community of moms who have chosen life and their children. They are in great need of furniture donations. If you or someone you know has gently used furniture to spare—sofas, rugs, armchairs, bookcases, etc.—we’d greatly appreciate your support. Your generosity will create a welcoming space for our STAR Moms and little ones coming soon!

If you have any extra items lying around or feel it in your heart to contribute a donation towards STAR Warminster, contact Nikki (nikki@legacyoflifefoundation.org) or Jalixa (jalixa@legacyoflifefoundation.org). They do have a van, so they are able to coordinate pick-up or drop-off! Your willingness to contribute is deeply appreciated, and your generosity will make a meaningful impact on the lives saved!

New Year Message from Monsignor McCormac

Blessings for a happy and healthy New Year!

Christmas Greetings from Archbishop Pérez and the Auxiliary Bishops of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia

Christmas Blessings

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light… You have brought them abundant joy and great rejoicing.” (Isaiah 9:1-2)

On the first Christmas, God gave us the most important gift of all. Through the birth of His only Son, God the Father gave eternal light to humanity. This miracle of Christ incarnate in the world fills us with tremendous awe and gratitude. You radiate that love when you recognize the face of Christ in those around you and serve them, especially those most in need. The simple acts of kindness and charity you show to fellow parishioners, neighbors, family, and friends compounds with the good deeds of others to build God’s kingdom on earth.

During this joyful season, may the light radiating from the Christ child’s manger kindle the spirit of Missionary Discipleship in your hearts and inspire us all to be instruments of hope, charity and grace. Know that you and your families are remembered in all of the Masses celebrated at Christmas this year. May God bless you with a joyous Christmas as well as a Happy, Healthy, and Holy New Year!

New Auxiliary Bishops for Philadelphia

Pope Francis names three new Auxiliary Bishops to serve the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Earlier this morning, a wonderful announcement came from Rome regarding the life of our local Church. Pope Francis has named Reverend Keith J. Chylinski, Rector of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary; Reverend Christopher R. Cooke, Dean of Men in the School of Theology at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary; and Reverend Efren V. Esmilla, Pastor of Saint James and Saint Martin of Tours Parishes; as Auxiliary Bishops to serve the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and her people.

Archbishop Pérez will hold a news conference at 10:45 a.m. at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center to introduce the new bishops-elect. It will be streamed live on the Archbishop’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ArchbishopPerez).

Following the news conference, the Archbishop will concelebrate Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the bishops-elect at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. The Mass will also be streamed live on the Archbishop’s Facebook page.

Please join in extending hearty congratulations to our new auxiliary bishops and in praying that the Holy Spirit will strengthen them as they prepare to take on this new role in service to the Church.
