SAINT CHARLES BORROMEO SEMINARY TO AWARD
HONORARY DEGREE TO MOST REVEREND MICHAEL F. BURBIDGE,
BISHOP OF ARLINGTON, DURING 2024 CONCURSUS
Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, the current Bishop of Arlington, and former Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, as well as past Rector of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, will receive a Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa, at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary’s 187th Annual Concursus (Graduation) Ceremony on May 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Bishop Burbidge will also deliver the keynote address.
The honorary degree will be conferred by Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, D.D., Archbishop of Philadelphia. Bishop Burbidge will join a distinguished list of honorary degree recipients, including Saint Teresa of Calcutta, Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, Archbishop Borys Gudziak, Dr. Jacqueline C. Rivers, Professor Helen Alvaré, Professor Andreas Widmer, US Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, and former Pennsylvania Chief Justice Robert Nix.
All are welcome to prayerfully participate in the 187th Concursus Ceremony via livestream beginning at 10:00 a.m.
