Interfaith Prayer Service for Philadelphia Civic Leaders

The Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia(RLC), graciously invites you to attend an Interfaith Prayer Service for the intention of Mayor Cherelle Parker and Members of Philadelphia City Council at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

The address of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peters and Paul is 18th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19103

The service will be led by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez and other co-conveners of the RLC including Rt. Rev. Daniel Gutiérrez, Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania; Imam Anwar Muhaimin, Quba Masjid; and Rabbi David Straus of the Jewish Community Relations Council, Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.

The prayer service will include sacred scripture readings from the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faith traditions.  Attendees will recite a pledge written by the Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia titled A Call from People of Faith to Stop Violence. Participants will also light candles to visually welcome the light of peace into our community.
