Please contact your PA state senator to ask him or her to support Senate Bill 956, which would prohibit taxpayer funding of abortion in Pennsylvania.
The bill is going to be up for discussion and a vote tomorrow morning in a PA Senate committee.
The urgency of the bill comes in the wake of a lawsuit filed by pro-abortion advocates to bypass the state legislature and force taxpayers to provide this funding. Without this piece of legislation, the sanctity of life would be left to the discretion and political leanings of the courts.
Senate Bill 956 and its companion bill in the House, HB 2252, are constitutional amendments, meaning that they would have to pass two sessions in the legislature and then go to the ballot on a referendum. Governor Wolf would have no power to stop them. Click here to log in and send your message.
